They weren’t impressed

When a celebrity can sit in a hotel room in Boston and broadcast live to an audience of over 3,000 people, they’re sometimes going to play pranks on their fans, which is exactly what Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul did via a live Periscope broadcast.

Paul broke “super top secret news” to fans around the world that creator Vince Gilligan had given the green light for a Jesse Pinkman spin-off.

“I’m going to tell you all some news that I’ve been dying to tell you for some time,” he said before waiting for the session to fill up.

“About 15 minutes ago, Vince Gilligan told me that it was okay to tell the world how I saw fit that there will be in fact a spin-off for Jesse Pinkman’s character for Breaking Bad, which just phenomenal.

“It takes place in Alaska, so he has made it up to Alaska, but obviously people are still searching for him. He’s in hiding, which is exciting…I’m so happy I’m able to tell you all this; this is great.

After telling fans they would begin shooting “very soon” he couldn’t keep the joke up any longer.

“I feel so bad; everything I just said is actually not true. I’m just bored in Boston, and I wish it was April Fools’ Day, but it’s not.

“I hope you won’t hate me for long for this toy of emotion. I actually wish that was true. I started to believe it once I was telling you guys but it’s not true.”

Pinkman’s catchphrase was thrown around a bit from fans after, as well as the actor reading out comments like “Get the fuck out of here” and “You suck”.

While there seems to be no Breaking Bad news on the horizon, he did promise another big announcement would be made soon.

Paul is currently filming action comedy Central Intelligence with Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart.
