A Perfect CircleIt’s been a long 13 years since their last visit, but A Perfect Circle are returning to Australia this December. For New Zealand fans, it’s been 22 years. This year, the drought will finally end.
In October, the band announced their return to the stage, revealing their first European tour dates in eight years. The tour announcement followed the recent 25th anniversary commemorative release of their 2000 classic, Mer de Noms.
Formed in 1999 by guitarist Billy Howerdel and Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan, the latter will be pulling double duty when another of his projects, Puscifer—featuring Keenan, Mat Mitchell, and Carina Round—opens all Australian and New Zealand shows.
The tour begins at Adelaide’s The Drive on Friday, 4 December, followed by Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Sunday, 6 December, Brisbane’s Riverstage on Tuesday, 8 December, Sydney’s TikTok Entertainment Centre on Friday, 11 December, and concludes at Auckland’s Spark Arena on Sunday, 13 December.

Following the release of their debut album, A Perfect Circle released an additional three albums: Thirteenth Step (2003), eMOTIVe (2004), and Eat the Elephant (2018), the latter of which debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200.
Meanwhile, Puscifer released their first album in six years last month, unveiling their gothic fifth album, Normal Isn’t. The trio last visited Australia in 2017.
