The nominees for the 49th annual Golden Guitar Awards have been unveiled, with local favourite Fanny Lumsden today picking up seven nods, following the release of her acclaimed third album Fallow this year.

Revealed this morning via a live-stream from Tamworth Town Hall, the nominees announcement also saw The McClymonts and Travis Collins named across six categories, while Casey Barnes, Brad Cox, Allison Forbes and more also make an appearance.

"On behalf of the board of the Country Music Association of Australia, I congratulate all the nominees announced today,” CMAA Chair Dan Biddle said.

“The number and calibre of entries is inspiring and truly showcases the passion, creativity and spirit that Australian country music cherishes. Today’s nominees announcement event has set the scene for what will be an unforgettable awards show in Tamworth in January.”

The winners will be revealed on January 23 from Tamworth Region Entertainment & Conference Centre, which will be live-streamed via ABC.
