Punk’s not dead (it just needed a day job) and when it comes to local punkers Anchors, they’re well and truly alive.  Having gotten back into the full swing of things at the start of this year, Anchors is well and truly under way to being the cream of the crop in the local music scene. Fast beats, catchy melodies and a ‘give-it-all-you-got’ attitude, this is a band you need to keep your eye on!

Chiodos have announced that both drummer Derrick Frost and bassist Matt Goddard have left the band ahead of The Parks and Devastation Tour.

Relapse Records has announced the signing of heavy psych quartet Ecstatic Vision who formed earlier this year. The band will complete the recording of their full-length debut soon which will be released via Relapse in early 2015.

Chimaira have lost every single member of the band except for frontman Mark Hunter. Guitarist Emil Werstler, guitarist Matt Szlachta, keyboardist/vocalist Sean Zatorsky, bassist Jeremy Creamer, and drummer Austin D'Amond have all quit the group.

Dustin Kensrue of Thrice has announced that he has resigned from his position as a pastor at Mars Hill church. Whilst the reasons for his departure in his statement aren't exactly clear it would seem that the church is doing some things that Kensrue believes to be ultimately damaging.
