"Byron Bay's latest generation of hardcore bands are set to release a 2010 Compilation on July 1st . The collection of songs will be released online via a free download and will feature unreleased and recently released material from 10 bands. 6131 Records have announced a deal with the Independent Label Collective for worldwide distribution. The label will be releasing new records from Alpha & Omega, Touche Amore, Such Gold and more in the coming months with the ILC. ILC President Jason White had the following to say about the new partnership: "6131 has been pumping out some great records over the last couple years. It is great to bring a mix of modern hardcore into the collective, and hopefully this will help open some new doors for everyone involved. Many of us are fans of bands such as Permanent, Bane, Touche Amore and more from the 6131 roster, so the cliche statement of being excited about having the label join definitely rings true." The Independent Label Collective formed after the collapse of Lumberjack Mordam last year. Labels involved within the ILC include Asian Man, New Red Archives, Gilead Media, Red Scare, Cavity Records and Magic Bullet.

Rising deathcore giants - Thy Art Is Murder have uploaded two new tracks from their forthcoming full-length.  Titled, 'The Adversary', the album is due out July 16 through Skull and Bones Records, with tracks - 'Soldiers of Immortality' and 'The Adversary' pre-featured on their Myspace page.  The five-piece have issued pre-orders online, and have recently wrapped up a nation-wide tour titled 'The Mistake Tour' with Confession, With For Wings and Lovers Grave.   Check out the track here. Equal Vision Records is pleased to welcome Mozart Season to its roster. With nearly five years of experience behind them, the Sacramento-based band has already built up an army of dedicated followers and has honed their signature sound of heavy, dark melodies blended with aggressive instrumentations, thrashing vocals and a splash of pop-punk style choruses. Their debut EP with Equal Vision Records, Nightmares, will be released on July 20th. The album will be available exclusively through MerchNow, digital retailers, and the band. Nate Richardson (vocals), Benton Christensen (guitar), Sam Trux (guitar), Troy Cooper (bass) and Luke Allen (drums), show maturity beyond their years as they collectively produce innovative melodic, post-hardcore music on Nightmares. The album was recorded at Fat Cat Studios with engineer Jay Trammell (Self Against City, Early States) in March. Sydney rockstars, Phantoms have uploaded a brand new track from their forthcoming release.  Titled 'Black Ice', the two-minute gem is a taste into their full length that is expected to be out this September.  Be sure to check out the track here, and the band live in skin on July 3rd at the annual Hardcore Festival All Ages show. 

Prolonging nearly four years of inactivity, hardcore heavyweights Remembering Never have progressed work towards a new album and begin planning tours across North America.  Titled "This Hell Is Home", vocallist Peter Wolalski commented on their upcoming release: "[The album] will be released through Dead Truth Recordings (unless someone wants to give me a large suitcase full of crisp and clean $100 bills). We are still in the writing process but we have about 4 songs nailed down solid and about 5 more near completion. Every song differs from the others greatly and we are sweating our asses off in the slums of Alligator City to get this shit out finally. Some of you will dig it hard. Others will not. NO CARE EVER." Perth symphonic death metal band Make Them Suffer begin recording their debut ep 'Lord Of Woe' with Roland Lim (Birds Of Tokyo, Dyscord, Arturo Chaos). After supporting Unearth and The Black Dahlia Murder earlier this month the band are set to record for two weeks before releasing 'Lord Of Woe' in late September.

Quite possibly the best thing to come out of Newcastle since Andrew Johns.

Indiana pop punk band The Ataris are the third band to be confirmed for the Soundwave 2011 Festival.Joining the already announced bands in The Blackout and Protest The Hero, the band posted the following message on their facebook page:"Dear Australia.
