Portugal. The Man release music video for Dead Dog
Sometime last year, Portugal. the Man's John Baldwin Gourley told Spinner that the perception of an album as something you can physically hold in your hands, buy in a record shop and take home with you may, indeed, be a dying concept. Anyone who has been paying attention for the last decade or so probably agrees. Hence, the band took advantage of the fact that the album, as an art form, still has at least a little life left in it by making a badass album cover for 'The Satanic Satanist.'
Of course, anybody who has flipped on MTV or VH1 in the past decade can probably say the same thing about the fate of music videos. Sure, the Internet saved the video star, but nonetheless, what videos have you watched on an actual television lately? So, no dummies, Portugal. the Man once again seized the day by making a badass video while they still had the opportunity to do so. And they did it right.
