To celebrate the release of their infectious new single - and it’s accompanying frostbitten video - “Come Away With Me,” Sydney’s rapidly rising pop-punkers HEROES FOR HIRE will be playing a handful of headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne this October!

Popular US pop punk outfit Paramore have performed an intimate acoustic set recently as part of Alternative Press’s 25th anniversary.

Whilst their ages combined would comprise a figure smaller than the weight of their riffs, Sydney hopefuls, Legions, have outlined a mature approach to music and live performance which has cemented their presence in the minds of hardcore fans of all ages throughout the country.  With only a demo under their belts and a 7" underway, we caught up with Owen of this handsome five-piece to see what's cooking in their teenage minds and planned for their future of their teenage lives. 

Philadelphian, pop punk Sextet - the Wonder Years arrive in Australia in a weeks time - to kick off their first ever Australian tour.

Acclaimed New Orleans metallers Down have set an Australian release date for their long-awaited DVD. Entitled, Diary of a Madband the new offering will hit stores on October 1st.

Sydney metalcore, Elegy have released a new track on their Myspace.  Titled 'Desolation', the track is the first of new material released since their unveiling of their Demo in 2009.  Elegy have been making ripples throughout their scene since gaining an active presence in 2009, and borrow influences from the likes of Remembering Never, On Broken Wings and The Banner. Following the success of past two EP's - 'Trash The Party' and 'Scum of the Earth' - Hand of Mercy have recently announced the release date of their debut full-length.  Titled 'The Fallout', the studio album is due to be released via Dogfight Records on October 15, and will be "available in stores everywhere".  

In the lead-up to the release of the 20th Century edition of "Cowboys From Hell", Pantera have recently made an unreleased track stream-able via their Facebook page.  Titled "The Will To Survive", fans can be sure to preview the track here.

Swedish Black Metal giants, Dark Funeral have recently undergone a departure by bassist, B-Force.  Guitarist Lord Ahriman commented on the issue: "Since parting ways with [frontman] E.M. Caligula, it come as no surprise to the rest of us that B-Force would follow the same path and throw in his towel too. So I wish to thank him for the six fantastic years he'd been with us on bass. It's been a pleasure indeed working together... We have already found a new and totally amazing bassist; a bassist who lives and breathes Dark Funeral in its purest form. And we couldn't be more honored to have him onboard. We will however wait until everything is settled before we present him to all of you, so please be patient." B-Force provided his own comments: "After six awesome and crazy years with Dark Funeral, I have decided to leave the band. It's my own decision to leave one of the best bands/friends in the world, but I feel that I need to move forward in life and do something else music-wis...
