Former The Academy Is... frontman William Beckett has filmed a video for the first single, off his upcoming debut solo EP, 'Walk The Talk.'

Torche guitarist Andrew Elstner is being treated for rabies in St. Louis after a bat urinated in his eye. The band have released a statement explaining how it all came about."The story begins in St. Louis. Elstner was with a friend's touring band, staying with a former roommate at his old home-- a rustic house built in 1824 with 70 acres and a horse pasture. When Elstner turned on the lights in one room, he discovered a trapped and frightened bat, zooming around. 'As it passed by my head a fourth time at light speed, it managed to piss on my right eye,' Elstner wrote in an email to Pitchfork. He laughed, rinsed his face, and went to sleep.But the next day, he told his parents, and they 'proceeded to have a meltdown,' he said, 'and were convinced I had rabies.' Although it's impossible to contract rabies from bat piss, Elstner said he was recommended to get vaccinated, due to 'exposure,' by 'everyone from the local vet, to our family doc, to Animal Control, to my friend who's an eye ...

Sydney band Buried In Verona will release their third album, "Notorious" via UNFD on June 1st, 2012. The album was recorded January - March in Sweden by Fredrick Nordstrom, who has made a name for himself by producing albums by Bring Me The Horizon, Confession and Job For A Cowboy, amongst others. The full length is a follow up to their highly successful "Saturday Night Sever" album which the six piece released in 2010. A first single from "Notorious" will be "Four Years", and will be debuted on triple j's Short Fast Loud program on Wednesday April 4th, and will be launched on UNFD's YouTube Channel at Midday on Thursday April 5th. Other tracks from the album include the high octane "Maybe Next Time", second single "Miles Away" and "Can't Let It Go", which features guest vocals from The Amity Affliction's Ahren Stringer. To celebrate their tour with Deez Nuts and Phantoms kicking off this week, Sydney five-piece hardcore band The Bride have released an online video for their new single "Ambassadors". The track was produced by Dream On Dreamer guitarist Callan Orr at UNFD's Avalanche Studios. "Ambassadors" is available on iTunes and their debut full length "President Rd" is also available at a special discounted price of $16.99 at JB Hifi stores.
