Warner Music Australasia and Southeast Asia have today (10 December) unveiled a list of key strategic leadership promotions.
The announcement comes as the company looks to strengthen its domestic artist pipeline and accelerate the global export of music from across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia.
Helping drive the new structure are the promotions of Alex Young and Dan Ellis. Young is now the VP for Domestic Artists, Warner Music Australasia. She will oversee domestic areas, including A&R, creative, marketing, and nurturing local talent.
Meanwhile, Ellis has been elevated to VP of International Artist Strategy for Warner Music Australasia and Southeast Asia. He’ll have a pivotal role in leading Warner’s global offering to international artists across Australasia and Southeast Asia.
Both VPs will report directly to Dan Rosen, the President of Warner Music Australasia and Southeast Asia.
Of course, the new roles won’t come without support. Joining Young will be Charlotte Kindred – Warner’s new Head of Domestic Artist Strategy – and Sarah Thomas, the company’s Artist Relations and Promotions Manager, Australasia Export, while based in New York.

Joining Ellis are Lucy Baker, promoted to Head of PR, Artist Relations & Wellbeing; Jordon Dionatos, International Artist Strategy Lead, Australasia; and Singapore-based Lisan Yee, the new International Artist Strategy Lead, SE Asia.
Warner is also welcoming a “new specialised structure” regarding digital and fan engagement. Manny Kupelian has been named Head of Creator Strategy, Mat Buck has been named GM of Streaming, Social & Community, and Luke Vespa has been named Streaming & Partnerships Lead.
“These strategic appointments reflect our unwavering commitment to our mission, to take our local artists global and make our global artists local,” said Dan Rosen. “With an expanded regional footprint, we are now better positioned than ever to deliver on this mission.
“This new structure combines agility with deep specialisation, ensuring we have precisely the right expertise to seize on the dynamic opportunities across our region. I'm immensely proud to promote this exceptional group of leaders who will drive our continued growth while keeping our extraordinary artists at the heart of everything we do.”
Rosen was named the leader of Australasia and Southeast Asia in October.
Lo Ting-Fai (known as Lofai), President of Warner Music APAC, said at the time, “This region is richly diverse, full of extraordinary artists, talented entrepreneurs, and young passionate fans, who are highly engaged with a booming music ecosystem.
“Under Dan’s skilled leadership, our artists will tap into both the economic value and weight of population across all eight countries, providing a powerful springboard to global fame and fortune. Change is never easy, but this is about doing something bold and winning big over the long term.”
