Big news out of TEG today, with the live entertainment and ticketing company revealing that TEG Live’s Managing Director, Tim McGregor, has been appointed the Global Head of Touring.
McGregor joined the business as the Managing Director in 2016. In his new role, he will lead the promoter group throughout the company's concert touring and festival portfolio.
Effective as of today, McGregor is now responsible for TEG’s continued growth of its Global Touring Businesses in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, the UK, Europe, and North America. He’ll oversee the portfolio of local branches—TEG Live, TEG Dainty, TEG Van Egmond, TEG MJR, Handsome Tours, and Laneway Festival—and international ones, such as TEG Asia, TEG Live Europe, and TEG North America.
In a statement, McGregor commented that he’s “excited” about “furthering” his remit with TEG in building its Touring operations on a local and global scale. “I am immensely proud of all that we have achieved to date, but this is only the beginning,” McGregor said.
Thanking TEG Group CEO Geoff Jones for entrusting him with the new opportunity, McGregor continued, “I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Geoff for this opportunity and for his ongoing support. We’ve been on a long journey together, and I look forward to embarking on the next phase of TEG with Geoff and the Senior Leadership Team.”
Jones said he’s “delighted” to announce the appointment of McGregor’s new role, adding: “Tim’s outstanding track record in the live entertainment industry draws on more than three decades of experience. His in-depth industry knowledge and excellent business acumen makes him the ideal choice to lead the overall Concert and Festival Touring strategy for TEG across the Globe.

“I look forward to continuing to work closely with Tim in his new role to drive growth and success for the TEG Business.”
Earlier this year, TEG welcomed Belinda Shaw as its new Chief Financial Officer. With her new role at TEG Group, Shaw is set to have a “vital” position in dealing with the company’s growing portfolio of Live Entertainment Businesses.
Belinda Shaw’s appointment followed Simon Cahill's being named the Head of Commercial at TEG Group in February. In May, TEG Group celebrated the success of FISHER’s Out 2 Lunch festival, which boosted the Gold Coast economy by $50 million.
