Ed SheeranFollowing the successful campaign to have Ed Sheeran visit Ipswich, which resulted in the hitmaker writing his signature on a mural dedicated to him, The Fox has launched a new campaign.
What the radio station is after? The Fox is hoping to convince the Shape Of You singer to visit a Bunnings Warehouse store somewhere in Victoria and try a signature snag from the frequent sausage sizzles.
When Sheeran performed at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium earlier this month, he wore the iconic Bunnings straw hat and mentioned trying a sausage sizzle to an enraptured audience.
“Apparently, when I get to Melbourne, I have to get the sausage sizzle,” Sheeran said, guitar in hand, per news.com.au.
Ed Sheeran just performed two out of three shows at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium, with one show to go tonight (28 February). Following his Melbourne dates, Sheeran concludes his Loop Tour at Adelaide Oval on Thursday (5 March).

Already the honorary co-Mayor of Ipswich following his visit, The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick want Ed to become an honorary Aussie and try a Bunnings sausage. Will he do it?
“We are starting a little campaign to get him to Bunnings to try a sausage,” Fifi Box said on-air yesterday (27 February). “He was talking about Bunnings sausages in Brisbane - so which store do we get him to?”
Listeners called in with suggestions of their local Bunnings stores, nominating stores in Warragul, Chirnside Park and Maribyrnong. The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick weighed up the suggestions and travel logistics – including a possible landing by helicopter – and settled on Port Melbourne as the most realistic destination for Ed to visit.

The Fox has been campaigning hard for Sheeran on-air, playing his music on “loop” all day on Thursday in celebration of the tour.
Reviewing the first night on Sheeran’s Australian run, The Music’s Sam Mead remarked on the show at Perth’s Optus Stadium:
As Ed Sheeran makes his return to Australia for the local kick-off of the global Loop Tour, it’s clear that he’s at the top of his game when it comes to captivating stadium crowds.
