Bliss n Eso have postponed their forthcoming show at Perth’s Ice Cream Factory (Sunday, 1 March) as Max Donald Mackinnon – aka Macka or Eso – is currently in the hospital.

The show will now take place on Friday, 20 March, and existing ticket holders retain valid tickets for the rescheduled date.

Meanwhile, the trio’s forthcoming shows at Sydney’s Taronga Zoo (6 March) and Melbourne’s Live At The Gardens (15 March) are scheduled to go ahead as planned, but they’ll let fans know if anything changes.

The hip-hop group shared the news on Friday (27 February). Posting a photo of Eso in a hospital bed, they shared that he’s “currently unwell in hospital” and will be okay, “but needs time to recover.”

“Perth & WA fam… We’re absolutely gutted to let you know that we have to postpone our Perth show that was scheduled for this Sunday the 1st of March at Ice Cream Factory,” Bliss n Eso wrote.

They continued, “Our boy Macka (Eso) is currently unwell in hospital. He will be ok but needs time to recover.

“The new date for our show in Perth will be Friday March 20th and all tickets remain valid.

“As of right now the Sydney (Taronga Zoo) & Melbourne (Botanical Gardens) shows are still going ahead as planned but we will let you know if anything changes.

“Thank you for the love, patience and support. It means everything to us right now and we can’t wait to see you all soon.”

The Music wishes Eso a smooth, quick recovery.

Bliss n Eso are touring in support of their latest album, The Moon (The Dark Side), released in September 2025. Their second album of 2025 served as a companion to The Moon (The Light Side), released in April.

From freestyling at Michael Gudinski’s house to securing some iconic samples, the journey to the dark side is sonically and emotionally rich for Bliss n Eso.

The trio said of the album, “Albums are like movies to us, and this new one is the epic sequel to the album we dropped earlier this year with THE MOON (THE LIGHT SIDE), where we take the listener deeper into space and time on a wild ride with us. Get ready... cuz it’s time to orbit to the dark side of the moon!”
