The Wiggles have been sued by their former CEO, Luke O’Neill, for allegedly not being paid a bonus for his work and several alleged breaches of the Fair Work Act.
As reported by The Guardian, O’Neill is suing Wiggles Holdings Pty Ltd, Blue Wiggle Anthony Field and general counsel Matthew Salgo.
Per documentation viewed by The Guardian, O’Neill worked as a consultant for The Wiggles for nearly a year before being appointed the group’s CEO in January 2024.
O’Neill complained to Field on multiple occasions about hires that he made that weren’t approved by the CEO or the Wiggles’ company, including members of Field’s family. In February, Field allegedly “undermined” O’Neill by questioning his competence in a meeting of approximately 13 staff members.
After the alleged incident, O’Neill claimed to have complained to The Wiggles’ General Manager of Commercial, Luke Field—also Anthony Field’s nephew—about the Blue Wiggle’s conduct and alleged unnecessary costs.
In late May 2025—after allegedly receiving positive feedback from The Wiggles’ directors and securing an agreement for a pay rise—O’Neill was fired by The Wiggles, which he described as a breach of the Fair Work Act.

In December, it was revealed that The Wiggles were Australia’s most-streamed local artists of 2024, followed by The Kid LAROI, AC/DC, Vance Joy, and RÜFÜS DU SOL. They secured the stat for a second year running.
The Wiggles performed at the Tamworth Country Music Festival back in January—and will return next year—just two months before the group released the country-inspired album, Wiggle Up, Giddy Up, which was released in March of this year.
Wiggle Up, Giddy Up features an abundance of country stars, including Dolly Parton, Lainey Wilson, Dasha, Orville Peck, Morgan Evans, Jackson Dean, Kaylee Bell, MacKenzie Porter, Troy Cassar-Daley, The Wolfe Brothers, Travis Collins, Lucky Oceans, and the late Slim Dusty.
