Australian television was celebrated at the Logie Awards last night (3 August) with a lengthy award show that saw ABC/Netflix comedy series Fisk earn the most wins and Home And Away’s Lynne McGranger receiving the prestigious Gold Logie.
In terms of music-related series, wins were sparse, but The Voice Australia once again won the Best Entertainment Program and Bluey, which stars composer Joff Bush, Custard’s David McCormack and special guests including Kate Miller-Heidke, Blue Wiggle Anthony Field, Meg Washington, and others, was named Best Children’s Program.
You can see the full list of winners below.
This year’s Logie Awards also featured talent led by Jimmy Barnes—celebrating the 40th anniversary of Working Class Man—as well as Guy Sebastian, Marcia Hines, and American singer (and one of this year’s The Voice Australia coaches) Richard Marx.
While just two music-related programs took home wins from this year’s Logie Awards, they weren’t the only nominees. Sonia Kruger was nominated for the Most Popular Personality on Australian Television award for her hosting on The Voice. She was also nominated for the Bert Newton Award for the Most Popular Presenter category alongside Australian Idol co-host Ricki-Lee and Zan Rowe (Take 5 With Zan Rowe).
Kate Miller-Heidke was nominated for the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent for her first-time coaching gig on The Voice, while Ego: The Michael Gudinski Story was nominated for Best Factual or Documentary Program.
