Jimmy Barnes has been announced as one of the performers at this year’s Logie Awards.

Taking place at The Star in Sydney on Sunday, 3 August, the Flame Trees singer will perform at the award ceremony, which celebrates Australian television, less than two months after releasing his latest album, DEFIANT, and embarking on a national tour throughout June.

“I am excited about playing at the Logies, television’s big night of nights,” Barnes commented in a statement (per TV Blackbox). “It will be great to celebrate all the fantastic talent we have in Australian television, and to play some rock’n’roll music to get the party jumping.”

In addition to announcing Barnes’ performance, Logies’ organisers revealed the ceremony’s star-studded list of presenters.

While more presenters will be announced soon, viewers can be assured that stars including Zan Rowe, Ricki-Lee, Kate Miller-Heidke, Hamish Blake, Leigh Sales, Sophie Monk, Tom Gleeson, Kitty Flanagan, Manu Feildel, Melanie Bracewell, Ayesha Madon, Richard Wilkins and many more will appear on stage throughout the evening.

The 2025 Logie Awards will be hosted by Sam Pang and air on Channel 7 and 7plus from 7 pm on Sunday, 3 August.

In June, The Music reported that Ego: The Michael Gudinski Story, Take 5 With Zan Rowe, and reality TV singing competitions such as Australian Idol and The Voice are among the music-related nominees for this year’s Logie Awards.

Last week, it was announced that Jimmy Barnes’ upcoming documentary, Working Class Man, would premiere at this year’s Melbourne International Film Festival.

Working Class Man will air at The Astor Theatre on Thursday, 21 August, and at Hoyts 11 on Saturday, 23 August, both playing at 6 pm AEST.

Described as a “moving, fascinating tell-all” documentary, Working Class Man follows Mark Joffe’s Working Class Boy, which premiered at MIFF 2018. The follow-up, directed by Andrew Farrell, who served as executive producer on the previous film, picks up where Barnes’ previous documentary, Working Class Boy, left off.

The documentary is based on Jimmy Barnes’s 2017 memoir, Working Class Man.
