Spotify has just unveiled the 2025 Australian Music Global Impact List, and, for the first time, the list has expanded to include the Top 50 tracks from local acts making the biggest splash on the streaming platform outside of Australia.

With this year’s list, Sia has made history. She’s the first artist to top the Global Impact List twice, hitting #1 with her David Guetta collaboration, Beautiful People. She previously claimed the top spot with her 2023 single, Gimme Love.

Sia wasn’t the only Australian artist receiving tonnes of streams internationally. Seven songs from Tame Impala’s latest album, Deadbeat, made it to the Top 50, with single Dracula at #2 and Loser at #8.

Also achieving seven songs on the list is The Kid LAROI. Notably, i know love landed at #3, and A COLD PLAY at #9. Lithe’s collab with Don Toliver, Cannonball, debuted at #4. The Top 10 also features appearances by Sri Lankan-Australian singer and songwriter kiki wera and CYRIL – remixing The Temper Trap and The La’s.

The fun continues beyond the Top 10. Other artists featured on the list include Tobiahs, Royel Otis, Dom Dolla, Esha Tewari, Don West, 5 Seconds Of Summer, Go-Jo, and more.

“It’s impossible not to feel the impact of Australian music wherever you go, whether that’s in the US, Europe, or emerging markets where local artists are finding passionate new fans,” remarked Spotify’s AU/NZ Head of Artist & Label Partnerships, Leah Harris.

Harris continued, “The data behind Spotify’s Australian Music Global Impact List shows just how borderless music has become, and how artists from Australia are connecting with listeners around the world in deeper and more meaningful ways than ever before.”

The 2025 Australian Music Global Impact List showcases the growth of Australian music across the globe, with Spotify streams outside Australia increased by 69% since 2020.

The list is only a snapshot of the local artists and tracks that resonate most strongly with international audiences, with Australian artists not only dominating streaming services but also international festival bills.

Last year, the US was the top export market for Australian music, closely followed by the UK, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, the Philippines, and France, all featuring in the Top 10.
