Julia JacklinAustralian singer-songwriter Julia Jacklin has inked her first-ever global record deal, signing with the indie label, 4AD.
While her previous albums – 2016’s Don’t Let The Kids Win, 2019’s Crushing, and 2022’s PRE PLEASURE – were released through Transgressive, Polyvinyl, and Liberation, Jacklin’s upcoming works mark the first time her music has been released via a global record deal.
“4AD is excited to welcome Julia Jacklin, one of Australia’s most internationally celebrated songwriters, to the label,” the singer’s new label home shared on Instagram this morning (2 June).
To accompany the announcement, Jacklin is going on tour from October 2026 to March 2027, playing shows across North America, the UK, and Europe. The shows mark her first US dates since her 2024 Las Vegas residency.
Julia Jacklin is one of Australia’s most revered, celebrated songwriters.
She’s received nominations at the ARIA and Libera Awards, to name a few, plus sold out shows globally and shared the stage with Mitski, Lana Del Rey, Courtney Barnett, and Faye Webster. She’s appeared on festival stages like Glastonbury, Primavera, Newport Folk and Pitchfork Music Festival, with albums charting on the ARIA and Billboard charts.
Recognised for her emotionally-charged, direct lyricism, as well as her captivating performances and one-in-a-kind voice, Jacklin has become one of the most respected artists in contemporary indie music following the release of three albums, as well as fronting Phantastic Ferniture and covering Rowland S Howard’s legendary Shivers.
According to a press release, there’s “more” to come from Julia Jacklin, advising fans to “stay tuned” for further updates.

Jacklin’s last tour of Australia took place in late 2023. Since then, she’s come home for one-off events: she was the secret headliner at the FBi Radio Fundraiser in Sydney last June and performed at A Gathering for Gaza in Melbourne in January.
Reviewing her performance at Adelaide’s Harvest Rock Festival in October 2023, The Music’s Michael Prebeg wrote, “She instantly commands our attention with her vocals, which are delicate and powerful at the same time. Her raw confessional writing style tugs at the heartstrings and takes us on a rollercoaster of emotions as we take in her exceptional lyricism combined with enchanting guitars.”
