Jessie Parker has been named Festival Director of Laneway Festival after a successful tenure as General Manager.
Parker has been with the Laneway team since 2011. Over the last ten years, she’s risen into leadership roles and clearly understands the festival’s identity. Parker’s new role will see her in charge of the festival's strategic and creative direction.
She’ll oversee operations, partnerships, and audience development, working closely with festival co-founders Danny Rogers and Jerome Borazio. They report to Tim McGregor, the TEG Global Head of Touring.
Set to begin her new role effective immediately, Parker has been promoted amid Laneway Festival experiencing its most successful year in its two-decade history.
According to a press release, 200,000 fans turned up at Laneway in Auckland, New Zealand, and the Australian dates in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth.
With a headliner such as Charli XCX—who brought Brat summer Down Under—and hyped-up acts such as Clairo, beabadoobee, Remi Wolf, BICEP, Olivia Dean, Skegss, and many more, Laneway 2025 was an enormous success. 40,000 punters also attended the Laneway Festival sideshows.

Parker said of her promotion, “I’m honoured to take on this role and deeply thankful to Danny and Jerome for their ongoing trust and support.
“From the very beginning, they’ve believed in me and allowed me the opportunity to grow and make a meaningful impact. Laneway has always represented incredible music, forward-thinking ideas, and a strong sense of community — I’m excited to help guide it into its next chapter.”
Rogers and Borazio added, “Jessie has been an integral part of the Laneway family for many years, consistently bringing her talent and dedication to the work behind the scenes. She knows this festival inside and out and is deeply committed to creating strong, collaborative teams. Her drive to continually enhance and grow the event is truly inspiring — we couldn’t be more thrilled to see her take on this new role.”
Upon confirming Laneway’s return in 2026 earlier this year, Rogers and Borazio commented, “The team puts so much effort into making sure both our punters and artists have an incredible experience, and it is such a joy to see it all come together.
“We’re not sure how we’re going to top this one, but our firm belief is that the quality of the line-up will be the thing to keep fans and artists coming back.”
They added, “To the fans, artists, team, partners, and media who have supported us this year—thank you. We love you. See you in 2026!”
