KISSVinnie Vincent, perhaps best known for his short stint as the lead guitarist of KISS, is trying to charge fans $2 million for his new album.
The guitarist was in KISS between 1982 and 1984 and played on two of the band’s albums: Creatures of the Night and Lick It Up. He also received writing credits on their 1992 album, Revenge.
In a 2022 interview with Guitar World, Gene Simmons noted that “everything that Vinnie did sounded like Yngwie Malmsteen on crack,” describing his style of playing as “the kind of stuff that the rest of us normal human beings hate. It was ridiculous, and it certainly wasn't KISS.”
The publication notes that Vincent made headlines back in January when he promoted CDs of his single, Ride The Serpent, for a whopping $300 price. He then threatened to keep the resulting album, Guitarmageddon, in the vault if fans didn’t want to pay up.
Now, Vincent has revealed that he’s charging $2 million for purchases of his ten-track album, Guitarmageddon.
In a post shared on social media and on his website, Vincent said the album is complete and that he’s “very proud of this very special album.”
“The entire album will be offered in master format only for $2,000,000,” he wrote. “This includes 10 songs mixed in master, final product format, all the master files of the artwork, related posters, and 10 separate vinyl and CD packaging art for each song, should the buyer choose to release the album on a per-song basis.”

He added that fans can “release” the album in any format they desire: “vinyl, CD, or any other configuration, in whole or in part, at their discretion.”
He continued, “All marketing plans and ideas require approval by Vinnie Vincent. The price does not include any right, title, or interest in the copyrights and/or trademarks related to Vinnie Vincent or the product itself.
“If the buyer wishes to purchase any associated rights in the compositions, a separate agreement can be arranged and negotiated. The price will also include a perpetual license to use the brand name ‘Vinnie Vincent Invasion’ and ‘Vinnie Vincent’ for the life of the album.”
Or, if fans don’t fancy forking out $2 million, Vincent is offering another option, where each song “can be purchased for $200,000.”
Vincent said Guitarmageddon is made to be played “at maximum volume.” Payments for the album or singles are to be made through PayPal, with a “NO REFUNDS, NO RETURNS” policy.
