Jessica Mauboy has enjoyed a huge couple of weeks, sharing a stunning Yothu Yindi cover for triple j’s Like A Version and announcing that she’d be going independent and launching her own record label.

The excitement continues for the Running Back singer, who will be inducted into the National Indigenous Music Awards (NIMAs) Hall of Fame at this year’s ceremony.

Mauboy will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in a moment that recognises her enduring career, influence on First Nations artists and communities, and her impact on the broader Australian music landscape.

A proud Kuku Yalanji and Wakaman woman, Mauboy has made a significant dent in the industry with six Top 10 charting albums, 16 Top 20 singles, and 31 ARIA Award nominations, making her one of the most-nominated artists in ARIA history.

She’s released hit singles such as Burn and Little Things and, in addition to her music career, elevated Blak stories with her appearances as an actress in the film The Sapphires and the television series The Secret Daughter.
