The Boite presents FLIGHT

The Boîte's (pronounced ‘bwaht’) annual mini music festival FLIGHT is landing at The Evelyn Hotel on Sunday, September 28th from 2pm - 7pm; a perfect musical escape for the AFL grand final long weekend. Headlining the festival is Blues and Roots artist Caisha Sprout, exploring the evolving sonic connection with her Indian heritage in a 7 piece ensemble performance featuring the tabla and sitar on the line-up. A household name in the Latin-Melbournian community, Sebastian Lugo brings his signature Latin-pop to life with his four-piece band. Brazilian artist, Olivia Brasil and her band enchants audiences with a genre called ‘if bossa nova and punk had a baby’. British Zimbabwean artist Miss Understood, a powerhouse multi-instrumentalist performs a genre bending mix of music on piano and on guitar with jaw-dropping vocals. Evelyn Yuen will have audiences cackling with comedy infused synth-pop (whilst dressing like her dad), there will also be some serious songs.
