Rhys Thompson @ Lulie Tavern

FRIDAY 30 OCTOBER 2026 | 8:00PM

What?

Melbourne alt-country artist Rhys Thompson is set to bring his full band to Lulie Tavern on October 30, with support acts to be announced imminently. Best of all - entry is free!
Following the release of single What They’ll Be (receiving airplay across ABC Country, Tower of Country, Grass Roots, Triple J Unearthed Radio and community radio stations across the country), Thompson is continuing a busy run of live shows across Melbourne with a night of expansive alt-country, roots and Americana-inspired songwriting.

Thompson writes with a reflective, quietly searching voice — balancing the familiar with the unknown. There’s a subtle grounding in Home We Know, a maturity in What They’ll Be, and a more dreamy pop-infused ballad Calling Me, the singer-songwriter continues to demonstrate his writing ability flirting with cross-genre influences all with the utmost confidence.

Quickly established himself as a compelling presence on the Melbourne live circuit, Thompson previously headlined Sensible Serenades and with full band in tow his signature sound is the perfect accompaniment to a few golden ambers at Naarm’s favourite Americana-style saloon.

With support acts to be announced imminently, it’s a swash-bucklingly good time to get down to Lulie and experience Thompson’s story telling.
