Omniversal Hum presents the enigmatic and elusive artist John T. Gast (UK) in his only Melbourne live solo performance.



Operating at the murky intersections of dub, industrial, and experimental electronics, John T. Gast crafts music with fractured rhythms, cavernous basslines, and haunted atmospheres. His sets weave together gritty noise, post-punk sensibilities, and deconstructed club structures, fusing heavy reverb, distorted beats, and lo-fi sound collage into an immersive, off-kilter experience.



John T. Gast’s output has been distributed through numerous releases; documented under various aliases. He has released on labels like Blackest Ever Black, Planet Mu and Haunter Records. Recent productions orientate around the self-run label 5 GATE TEMPLE. International appearances include Bourse De Commerce, Intonal Festival, Primavera Sound, Dekmantel, Oil Club (PRC), Cafe OTO and more.With Special Guests Silzedrek, Aarti Jadu, Olivia Davies and DJ's Reba & Marvin
