Karl Priebe is a Brisbane-based singer songwriter who combines a unique blend of indie folk with a slight country tinge. The music encapsulates story-telling and mood-capturing at its peak.

Karl has just released his debut album - "Over The Next Hill" in early 2025 and is playing a run of shows along the East Coast of Australia to celebrate.

This album was written throughout 2022-23 and funded completely independently with money made from gigs and busking around Southeast Queensland. The album covers personal experience, third-person story–telling, love & heartbreak. These songs are all real, raw and mean a great deal to the artist. Hopefully they find a special place in your heart.

Don’t miss the opportunity to see Karl & friends live at some of Australia’s most intimate venues!

Joining Karl will be two of Brisbane’s best solo artists:

Kat Flowers:

Kat is one of Meanjin’s (Brisbane) most passionate advocates for heartfelt, story-based music. A folk musician drawing inspiration from artists such as Missy Higgins, Florist and The Milk Carton Kids, her gentle vocal lines and melodic guitar work are interwoven with personal stories crafted into touching songs.

Opening for artists such as Winterbourne, Tom Snowdon, and Rowena Wise, Kat has a knack for creating deep connections with her audiences. She balances the clear vulnerability in her music with touches of humour, making for an engaging and warm experience.

Kat Flowers is here to bring you the audio equivalent of touching grass. She's packaged up some sad little feelings inside some sweet little folk songs for you to enjoy.

Kelsey Berrington:

With heartbreaking lyrics and warm folk melodies, Kelsey Berrington is a singer/songwriter that delivers songs straight from the soul. Performing for the last 7 years both solo and with his folk duo Freight Train Foxes, Kelsey has played some of Australia’s most notable music festivals such as Gympie Muster, Woodford Folk Festival, Ground Water CMF, Neurum Creek, Majors Creek and Agnes Waters Festival as well as having toured internationally to the US for AmericanaFest in 2024 and doing multiple busking tours in the UK and Europe.

Having released 2 full length solo albums and 5 ep’s with Freight Train Foxes, he’s amassed over 5 million streams over all platforms and few hundred thousand more as a producer for several artists. He’s been nominated for two Queensland Music awards as well as winning 3 Tamworth Songwriters Association awards.
