What happens when Shirley Bassey’s long lost cousin, escapes a Croatian village to embark on a superstar career just like her famous relative? You get Shirley Basich, complete with a seedy past, a dodgy “uncle” and enough wartime PTSD for an over-the-top extravaganza!

Direct from a sell-out tour of ‘all the small villages’ in Croatia, Albania and Bulgaria, Coldfinger! comes to Lyric’s Underground on July 25th and 26th! If you love a James Bond-like powerhouse performance you’ll love Shirley Basich and her traumatised pianist, Vincent.

Featuring Mary Vidovich as Shirley and Vincent Colagiuri as Vincent, this show serves up a heady cocktail of glamour, dubious backstories, and just the right amount of Balkan absurdity.

Mary Vidovich has been performing in operas, musicals and self-devised plays and cabarets for nearly 30 years. Coldfinger! brings Mary back to her Croatian roots all while unleashing an over-the-top, Bassey-esque spectacle of drama and diva energy.

Vincent Colagiuri has built a career as an accomplished pianist and Musical Director, touring in concerts, plays, cabarets, musicals and grand operas. He was also Musical Director on the last Australasian touring production of The Phantom of the Opera.  Now based in Perth, Vincent runs his own successful piano-teaching studio.
