Evanescence Announce 2027 Australian Tour Dates

Evanescence have accompanied the release of new album 'Sanctuary' with plans for an Australian return next year.

Just weeks after they seemingly teased their impending return to Australia, US rockers Evanescence have officially announced their forthcoming headline visit.

Announced today, the group’s forthcoming visit Down Under will see them performing at arenas throughout Australia and New Zealand in March 2027.

Kicking off at Perth’s RAC Arena on March 6th, the group will play headline dates in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, before heading east to play Auckland’s Spark Arena.

The upcoming tour was first teased in early May when Merch Jungle pre-orders for the group’s new album, Sanctuary, were teased with the promise of early access to tickets on the group’s soon-to-be-announced tour of Australia and New Zealand.

However, eagle-eyed fans looking over the group’s itinerary might have expected these dates to be taking place in December 2026 instead of March 2027.

Indeed, news of Evanescence’s Australian return comes alongside the release of Sanctuary, which arrives today as their sixth album.

Their first album since 2021, the 12-track record sees the group working with producers Zakk Cervini (Bad Omens, YUNGBLUD), Jordan Fish (Bring Me The Horizon, Poppy), and Nick Raskulinecz (Deftones, Korn) to craft a release which is among their strongest, with singles Afterlife and Who Will You Follow giving fans a taste of what to expect.

“This album is over three years in the making,” says vocalist Amy Lee. “I am so damn proud of every second of it. It’s overwhelming. Working on it has been my outlet for so much that feels wrong and out of control, and a place to ignite hope through the power of music and connection.”

The forthcoming tour is the band’s first headline tour since their 2023 trek in support of Fallen’s 20th anniversary, and first visit since last year, when they toured alongside Metallica.

Tickets to Evanescence’s tour go on sale from 1pm local time on Friday, June 12th. A range of presales – including Vodafone, Mastercard, Merch Jungle, and an artist presale – launch on Tuesday, June 9th, with both Live Nation and Spotify presales beginning on Thursday, June 11th.
