Engulfed in a glowy haze, the sisters of Little Quirks bridge dreamscape and reality on the ‘Red Shoes’ video clip.

The Central Coast’s cruisiest sister band Little Quirks is on the cusp of releasing their debut self-titled album this Friday, but before then, they’ve let The Music in on a special visual treat through the premiere of their video clip for the song Red Shoes.
Red Shoes sees Little Quirks transition from their usual folk chops into soulful indie rock, providing a glimpse into the last two years spent working on their debut album, detailing the ebbs and flows of life's often unpredictable path.
“The songs for the album…lyrically deal with more personal themes (relationships/breakups) which is quite a new topic for us,” they said in a statement.
“A few songs also touch on the idea of escapism and storytelling through a fictional lens. Over the years 'escaping reality' has become a recurring theme in our songwriting in general so this is still quite on brand for us.”
These motifs of escapism are visualised through the Red Shoes film clip, which opens with vocalist and guitarist Abbey singing straight onto the camera as the crew pack up behind as if packing up after a live show. From there, we enter into a colourful, hazy void that shows the band rock out in the only way they know how. It only seems right that they’d enlist their Dad, Adam, to film and edit the video, displaying the sisters in the same “unhinged yet vulnerable nature” that Red Shoes encapsulates.
“It is a very lyric driven video that conveys a lot of raw emotion which really captures the essence of ‘Red Shoes’,”

“We had a glow effect across the whole video which gave it a dreamy, different look to our usual videos. We had so much fun capturing ‘Red Shoes’ and tapping into the edgier/rock element of Little Quirks.”
