Fanny LumsdenVenerated country songstress Fanny Lumsden is getting ready to hit the road in a big way for her sixth annual Country Halls tour, so it's fitting that her video for new single Roll On undertakes a similar journey into outback Australia.
Directed by Anna Phillips and produced by Red Dirt Road Productions, the clip showcases the finer points of traversing our nation's rural areas, from the gorgeous scenery to the small-town pubs, fireside singalongs and sunset cuppas.
"Roll On is unapologetically a driving song and an account of the past 80,000 kilometres that we have clocked; however, I wrote it at the 60,000-kilometre mark, as is evident in the song," Lumsden said of the track. "It was actually the last song I wrote for the record, right before we went into the studio."
The rollicking stomp-along is the lead single from Lumsden's forthcoming second album, Real Class Act, and lays bare all the reasons for the broad acclaim she has garnered since her debut.

Having taken out this year's Golden Guitar Award and the CMC Award for BEst New Talent — and the country 2017 APRA Professional Development Award — it's evident that Lumsden is a musician in her absolute prime, and she's set to take her bountiful talent and boundless enthusiasm to plenty of places off the beaten path next month.
"Seeing those halls in the middle of paddocks, 100kms from any town, filled with life and music really is something special," she said in a statement. "I feel like we have been let into a joyful secret community club every night to put on a shindig and have a good time."
Real Class Act is set for release on Friday 22 September, the same day that she kicks off her expansive sojourn with backing band The Thrillseekers and support act Melody Moko at the Burren Junction School of Arts Hall.
She's out and about for almost the next six months, with additional dates lined up in Mullaley, Tullamore, Marra, Rankins Springs, Hatfield, Osbornes Flat, Wynyard, Launceston, Sheffield, Redfern, Eurongilly, Monument, Lacmalac, Mullengandra, Brisbane, McKees Hill, Ben Lomond, Tamworth, Tumblong, Neerim, Melbourne, Savernake, Ungaire, Andamooka and Adelaide.
She'll also be stopping in for showings at the Gympie Music Muster, BIGSOUND, Out On The Weekend, Majors Creek Festival and the Silverton Sunsets Music Festival.
