"There’ll be a whole lot of hair all over the merch desk at every show. Well, more than usual, anyway."

"Now that it’s my job and my life, I have to be in control of everything and I’m very pedantic about it."

"It’s nice to [push buttons]. I think it stems from the fact that we’re pretty isolated out in Phoenix, and not every cool – we’re not very trendy, hip people."

The Ball Park Music crew wrap-up their tour by wearing shit clothes. Their words, not ours.

Free bangers courtesy Sydney bang gangers Wordlife.. Currently traversing the country supporting Aus' dance legends The Presets, Sydney duo Wordlife were kind (see: fucking awesome) enough to give us a free tune for your downloading pleasure. Kato and Adam Bazetto like to get deep, and have informed us this little ditty has been killing it at their shows this year. They're supporting The Presets in Perth at Capitol TOMORROW NIGHT, and again after that show at the official after party which slams into the rave heaven of Ambar (details HERE), and then their own show the following night at Player's Bar in Mandurah. So stream the tune below, or click HERE to download it for free, follow the dudes on FACEBOOK, and have a raving good time this weekend. As a little bonus, here's a remix they did for our WA brethren Crooked Colours recently for what has become their breakout track - Come Down.

For years, Down have been dominating the heavy music world with animosity and passion. They're constantly pushing, pulling and finding new ways to present themselves. As is the move to release 'Down IV' in four EPs. It's given the band room to move and tour more. Equally, it's given them an opportunity to truly speak for themselves, just as Down have always done. We spoke with guitarist Pepper Keenan about the upcoming, 'Down IV - Part Two', as well as the possibility of the musician becoming involved with his old band, Corrosion of Conformity again.

Chiodos are a band you can't take lightly. They serve to remind the listener that post-hardcore isn't just alive and well, but flourishing and expanding every day. With elements that make the hardcore kids weep with mosh-pit wet dreams coupled with melodic sensibilities, Chiodos show just how to combine all the aspects of the genre into a sonic-aesthetic ball. We spoke with lead singer Craig Owens about the band's fourth release, 'Devil', its meaning, D.R.U.G.S and whole lot more.

Royal Blood are gaining worldwide attention at a phenomenal rate. Having received a great deal of praise and early support from fellow brits Arctic Monkeys, as well as a number of festivals in the US and UK circuit (SXSW, Glastonbury, Sound City), the duo will play their debut shows in Australia later this month. We chat with drummer Ben Thatcher ahead of the visit.

Music critics around the world are saying they’re “fed up” with musicians changing their style once they’ve formed an opinion of them.

"When the record first came out, we still only had one touring guitarist so it was hard to make the songs sound full."

Alison Wonderland has dropped an epic new single/video clip.. While you're all sitting there hitting refresh on your Splendour ticket thing and getting fucked over by scalpers, one of the stars of last year's festival, Alison Wonderland has dropped a new single and video clip - both of which are huge. I Want U featuers the producer/DJ now adding "vocalist" to her bow, in a beautifully shot clip which lacks no production values. It's the first taste of her upcoming Calm Down EP, which you can pre-order HERE, and also a nice little precursor to the upcoming Wonderland Warehouse PROJECT, which you might be able to get some TICKETS for again after some extra ones were released. Until then, enjoy one of the raddest video clips we've seen for a while.

"Playing with bands it’s harder to hear the vocals and I lose my voice quite often on tour with a group."
