Good dudes making good tunes and having a bloody good time doing it..

A young Melbourne producer who makes tunes close to our heart.. Following a premiere via Run The Trap earlier this week, it's time for people who read our site to get around Melbourne's Howl. We don't know a whole lot about him, other than he's quite young, and his production skills are so tight-butthole it hurts. He's only got a few tunes up on the Soundcloud thus far, but his latest - Sports Challenge - is the real deal. Very much in the Sable/Wave Racer/Basenji mould, Sports Challenge features one of the toughest kick-snare combos we've heard in a while, but it's the diversity within the track itself that makes it an essential Friday Freebie. We hear murmurs of some Australian tour action, so keep your eyes peeled, and until then enjoy this and get ready for the freakin' weekend. Follow Howl: FACEBOOK // SOUNDCLOUD

Panama's dreamy new single gets an equally dreamy video clip.. Panama's latest single Stay Forever recalls the lush, cinematic vibes of M83's latest output, so it's only fitting that the video clip is equally cinematic in scope. It's pretty simple, but beyond entrancing and the most easily watchable three-and-a-half minutes you'll find today. Directed by Daniel Askill, it pretty simply asks you to dive in. Gorgeous stuff. 10 September selections from RTRFM's wavey hip hop/rap show - Cloudwaves.. Cloudwaves is a radio show making the late night a great night on RTRFM. On a Friday morning from 12am - 2am, the Wavvy gang - Sleepyhead, Aslan, Dani M, Dan Dalton and Jai Chouhan - select tunes you can get wild and wavy to in your crib, car or club, showcasing a supa-fresh mix of turn up raps, sexy, futuristic R&B, chill low-lying raps, and experimental club tracks. Show Coordinator Dani M rounds up her faves from the last month. Partynextdoor feat. Drake – Recognise “I want you, to turn up on me / Every night when I see you.” This burner from OVO-affiliate (that’s Drake’s label)’s Partynextdoor has been at the top of my “tunes to tune to” playlist for a minute now. Proper bedroom jam, in which PND is just hanging out for women who will turn up on him every night. Some nice bars from Drake, too. I was very down with Partynextdoor’s track Persian Rugs but this has taken over as my new Partynextdoor favourite,

Young Franco had a chat with us at Stranded and gave us the inside scoop on what he's been up to.

A kilo of confetti is enough to inspire anyone, Inventions reckon.

"This is a back door revenue stream waiting to be tapped."

“Everyone in Australia was just so friendly to me, and just so lovely”

Gerard Way has always been a champion of subversion. With this in mind, it comes as no surprise that in the post-My Chemical Romance world, he continues to hold a middle finger high to the radio standards of 21st century music and what listeners expect from modern rock. We chatted with Gerard before he heads down under for Soundwave 2015 about his hotly anticipated new record Hesitant Alien, his fuzzy pink sidekick Lola and whose shows we don’t need.

"I have a slight crush with him at present," says Alice Haddy

The Getaway Plan are back at it again! Poised to record their third album, 'Dark Horses' very soon, the band is ready to remind us why they are one of Australia's most loved rock bands. Currently crowdfunding the record, we spoke with vocalist Matthew Wright about the full-length and the stigma around mental illness in both the music scene and the rest of the world.
