"Ain’t nothing gonna beat human connection, my friends."

Aussie indie folk outfit Little May have had a massive month off the back of their latest single, Lover.

After supporting The Rubens around the country, they’re preparing to take on Falls Festival followed by their own headline dates in February.

Here’s a taste of what went down when they hit the road with The Rubens earlier this month.

"At Gold Coast airport. It’s the beginning of the tour. Who wants to play music? That’s right, we do."

"Okay, so we were going to take this first leg of the tour easy, but things got out of hand in Brisbane thanks to Rob Muinos (Little May guitarist and The Rubens guitar tech)."

"Thankfully, Hannah is tour managing/heavily policing Little May. And thankfully Canberra Uni provided us with the largest rider ever, feat. kombucha. Hannah is pleased, and so is Timmy (lighting extraordinaire)."

"Mark and Liz stop by Parliament House. Neither of us had been here since year six camp, and how we both marvelled at the marble. We also had breakfast here, and it was lovely."

"Uh oh, we’re in Albury. And Elliot from The Rubens has had his hands taped to his beers. Things will surely get out of hand here (they did)."

"When in Hobart, go to Earth Eats. This place was great and their raw breaky bowls were necessary after a rowdy show at Hobart Uni."

"Fact: See-saws are never fun for the heavier person. The idea is to lose some level of control so you can have a crazy time. But you have all the control, and you have to push and pretend you’re having fun. I guess it’s nice to watch your smaller (and weaker) friends have a genuinely good time though."

"Flight delays are fun when you are with The Rubens, and Alex The Astronaut. A few Aperol Spritz’ at Perth airport and flight delays turn into quality time with friends. *Awwww*"

"Pre-show huddle at The Forum, Melbourne. Both The Rubens and Little May would start every show with a group huddle and cheek kisses that go all the way around. Ain’t nothing gonna beat human connection, my friends. Photo by our mate Michelle Pitiris."
