Listen: Made In Paris - Dancing In The Dark EP

Without going off on a tangent in the 'women in the industry' direction, it's always rad to see new females pop up in the scene, no matter what genre and for that reason, we're pretty stoked to finally have the debut EP of established Techno producer and Motorik signee Made In Paris hitting our ear-holes. The EP is named after it's first single Dancing In The Dark and follows up from a couple of on-point remixes and her debut track Your Body. Made In Paris is one of Motorik's strongest soldiers yet, with the six track (including three remixes) Dancing In The Dark EP kickstarting the producer's career into overdrive and drumming up a nice little bit of hype for Ms. Paris Forscutt. 

As mentioned before, the EP kicks off with Dancing In The Dark, the highlight of the EP. It's a synth heavy, techno thumper from start to finish, unleashing Forscutt's explosive prowess in music production, with Motorik's superwoman creating an almost therapeutic groove amongst hard-hitting and driving bass stabs. However, it doesn't go down hill from there, with the second single Trust Me continuing that throbbing techno groove amongst a frenzy of cymbal hits and a deep-synth melody. The original-side of the EP concludes with Defused, which tries to veer away from the EP's central groove with a slow-burning build, but just makes it's way back to some pulsating techno by the end of it. The EP ends by shining the light on other artists, who take turns to remix Dancing In The Dark and Trust Me, with Sweat It Out wunderkind Lyndon Kidd's remix of Trust Me shining above the Tiga affiliated Trace7000 and Heretic.

Dancing In The Dark is the breakthrough into the male-dominated industry that Made In Paris deserves, with the EP setting a high benchmark for the brave artists who attempt to follow her captivating, signature groove. Listen below:
