'Support artists, not algorithms': Jungle Merchandise opens a new retail and culture hub in Marrickville, celebrating local music culture.

Over the past nine years, Jungle Merchandise has been an important part of the music industry, with the Sydney-based company constantly taking its business to the next level. And now, it’s opening the doors to its first physical home in Marrickville.

Since its humble beginnings born out of a Newtown share house in 2017, the company has grown to welcome a 12-person team that works in strategy, design, production, touring, eCommerce, and fulfilment for huge names in music, such as Metallica, AC/DC, Fred again.., Lewis Capaldi, Delta Goodrem, Crowded House, and others.

From t-shirts to vinyl, totes, and expansive merch drops, Jungle has got you covered.

Its new physical home, located at 3/87 Sydenham Road, Marrickville, Jungle Merchandise will act as a hybrid hub for retail and culture. It’s designed to welcome exclusive pop-ups, album launches, intimate live shows, meet-and-greets, merchandise collections, and stacks more.

To celebrate its ninth year of providing for artists and the local community, Jungle Merchandise will host a public Grand Opening Launch Party on Saturday, 22 August.

The excitement commences at 12 pm and continues until 5 pm. The event, sponsored by Young Henrys and Heaps Normal, will feature an abundance of entertainment, with an already-announced performance from RAGEFLOWER and more to be confirmed.

“Streaming has made music more accessible than ever, but it has also made it less tangible,” explained Jungle Merchandise CEO Jim Sewell.

“People still want to own something. They want to collect records, wear the shirt from the show, meet the artist and share those moments with other fans. That’s what Jungle HQ is about. It’s a place built around music culture, not just music retail. Support artists, not algorithms.”
