PLEROMA
Pleroma is a quandary of morality – the cycle of reaching toward purity through art while imprisoned by the trauma of the material world, unattainable by definition but cursed to seek it out eternally. An expression of futility that deprives us from the moment, bound by a transcendent future eternally out of reach. This is interpretative of a historical myth based on my feelings of desperation; being stuck in the same patterns and seeking escape from them.
NRG
NRG is about stepping out from the shadows after going through personal transformation to integrate back into the world and giving it your best. Not being a part of the degradation but existing parallel from it, individuated and principally working towards a better outcome for all of us, one step at a time.
SANCTUARY
Sanctuary is a metaphor for finding peace in life, even if only for brief moments. Learning to appreciate them when they happen and remember them in the dark periods. It’s an attempt at showing gratitude to the mercy of respite in an otherwise merciless environment. An exercise in mindfulness and reflection, sanctuary is a ‘happy place’ to put it in cliché terms.
DROWN
Drown is about feeling overwhelmed and at the mercy of emotional outbursts. Intense feelings of loneliness and desperation follow you around like ghosts until they catch up once in a while and give you a taste of what you’ve been running from. If suppressing these feelings is an act of flight, then this song a fight.
FOREVER

Forever was written in a sequential style rather than a traditional one, utilising movements that iterate with each recursion. This writing style is supposed to evoke and entrance the listener with images of perpetual motion recurring as immersion deepens into a cerebral state of contemplation. The intent is an emotional canvas for the listener to project the contents of their unconscious, hopefully leading to catharsis.
I weaved melancholic subtleties in the composition as its ultimately representative of being trapped in behavioral thought loops, where you are repeating the same mistakes over again, despite being fully aware of the situation, you are locked in a state of compulsion forever.
CHROME
A detailing of my thoughts from 2020 things fell into disarray and I had to make some tough decisions to protect myself from toxic people. Chrome being a reflective surface signifies the reflective themes of this song as I felt I hadnʼt had a chance to really process what happened since then. Writing this was an opportunity to revisit those dark feelings I was avoiding in an attempt to keep moving forward. The goal here was a kind of catharsis for the listener.
FRAGILITY
A song that serves as a down to earth companion piece to what comes next, Fragility encapsulates the precariousness when opening yourself up to someone romantically. There is a lot of fear and insecurity based in past relationships and the more experience you have with them, the harder it is to trust and be vulnerable. Further negative experiences only reinforce this reluctancy and the older you get, the more damaged you seem, along with everyone else. I think this is especially relevant to my generation and profoundly alienating when dealing with long stretches of isolation.
VISIONS
Visions is about feeling tired of being constantly disappointed in the people around you. I use a first-person description style to separate where I believe my values lie in contrast to those values I criticise, like narcissism and selfishness, to better understand where the real differences are. It’s pretty much a fundamental rejection of the vision of the future our culture is falling headfirst into.
ATTUNE
Attune is related to Pleroma and a continuation of the myth, serving as the centre point in the art of perspective and its necessity for revelation. There is a vague possibility in transcending the cycle and this serves as motivation to embrace this hope in desperation and therefore void of doubt with a pure sense of exploration into novel experience. Itʼs within this exploration that unity occurs and ultimately separates the cycle from the Eternal Dao aka Pleroma. This is the attenuation of suffering through genuine inquisition.
ABRAXAS
Again related to Attune and Pleroma, Abraxas serves as a culmination of the mythological and psychological themes that structure this album. The goal is to evoke a sense of magic and articulate the intangible, which I believe is the function of art. This a deliberately opaque evocation of imagination. an altered state to unearth archetypes and symbology from the superego i.e. oneself.
