From The JamBritish band From The Jam are returning to Australia in July, once again bringing a Greatest Hits tour Down Under.
Rick Buckler, former drummer of The Jam, formed The Gift in 2006 alongside Russell Hastings and David Moore. Named after The Jam’s sixth and final album, released in 1982, the group plays material by their namesake.
Another former member of The Jam, bassist Bruce Foxton, later permanently joined the band, leading to a change of name from The Gift to From The Jam. In 2026, the group are led by vocalist Hastings, while Foxton retired from touring last year due to ill health.
Performing hits such as Going Underground, Start!, Town Called Malice, and That’s Entertainment, the spinoff group, which has also added extra tunes to the British songbook, performs with the same precision as The Jam.
The tour begins at Perth’s Astor Theatre on Wednesday, 1 July. It continues at Adelaide’s The Gov on Thursday, 2 July, Brisbane’s The Triffid on Saturday, 4 July, Sydney’s Factory Theatre on Sunday, 5 July, and concludes at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel on Tuesday, 7 July. Following the Australian shows, From The Jam will head to New Zealand and perform at Auckland’s Powerstation on Friday, 10 July.
