Single title: I Don’t Think You Like Me
What’s the song about? I guess the title is self-explanatory; I think most listeners can relate to it in some aspect of their life.
How long did it take to write/record? We wrote the song at the end of 2013, just before the release of our last EP and recorded it in April/May 2014 just before our venture to Singapore.
Is this track from a forthcoming release/existing release? It’s the lead single from the EP we’ve recently finished recording/mixing. It should be ready for everyone a bit later this year.
What was inspiring you during the song’s writing and recording? A lot of different things for each of us; our songwriting really comes down to what’s happening in our lives at that time. I guess this song reflects what was going on then.
We’ll like this song if we like... It’s been getting compared to Hole, Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage and other bands of that era, which is kind of flattering.
Do you play it differently live? No, but sometimes we extend the riff at the end a bit more if we’re vibing and the crowd’s into it. It’s always fun playing this song live.
When and where is your launch/next gig? Friday 10 April at The Bird.
