More Cub Sport More Cub Sport

"Across this release, Cub Sport are at pains to demonstrate that romance isn’t dead. Much of this album is just so hopelessly romantic in tone, even the most jaded would feel uplifted." – Guido Farnell

Cub Sport have bided their time in the Aussie music landscape for some time now. They’ve undergone a name change (g’day if you’re reading Cub Scouts), impressed with the vulnerability of Bats and won the hearts of dog-lovers thanks to their wholesome Missy and Eve content. But now with their third, self-titled long-player it really feels like this Brisbane band have come into their own and are staking their claim for the indie-pop throne.

It’s self-assured and confident songwriting, mixed with what seems to be a renewed sense of self. Savage Garden’s Darren Hayes said after watching the band live he "felt like [he] was having one of those, 'I was there when..' moments”. This is only the beginning.
