Short description of your band and your music: We’re a three-piece. I guess you’d call us indie or psych or pop which is fair, but really our music takes a lot of cues from old ‘60s and ‘70s soul and R&B records... Curtis Mayfield, Shuggie Otis, that kinda stuff. Then we just lather it with spaced-out guitar.
What are you hoping to achieve from showcasing at BIGSOUND? Catch up with some old friends, make some new ones. There have been a lot of people both inside and outside of the industry showing support for our music who haven’t had a chance to see what we do live yet, so we’re really looking forward to the show. The networking aspect of BIGSOUND is great, but it’s also pretty much just a huge party, which is part of why it’s so successful I think. It’ll definitely be fun.
