Extra Show Added To Macaulay Culkin's 'Home Alone' Australian Events

Merry Christmas, ya filthy animals! There's another chance to experience 'Home Alone' with Macaulay Culkin.

The Christmas spirit seems to be taking over plenty of Aussies, as two events on Macaulay Culkin’s upcoming Home Alone Australian presentations have already sold out, and a new show has been added in Sydney.

In case you missed it: last week, it was announced that Kevin McCallister himself, Macaulay Culkin, would be heading to Australia later this year for a run of events called Home Alone: A Nostalgic Night with Macaulay Culkin.

Taking place along the East Coast in late November, Culkin will be in attendance at a handful of special screenings of the 1990 holiday classic, Home Alone. Following screenings of the film, he’ll participate in a nostalgic Q&A about how the film came to life.

Pre-sales for the events opened on Monday, followed by the general sale yesterday. Events at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall and Sydney’s Enmore Theatre have already sold out, with Melbourne’s Regent Theatre not far behind and selling fast.

Fans of Home Alone can hear Culkin revisit his memories of the film, the behind-the-scenes details of its filming, and his thoughts on why the hit film became the ultimate holiday classic.

Released in November 1990, the Chris Columbus-directed, John Hughes-written movie became one of the year's most popular films and one of the decade's biggest hits, turning Culkin into a superstar.

Leaning into the absurdity and ingenuity of Culkin’s Kevin McCallister as he sought to protect his family home from would-be thieves played by a hilarious Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern after he was inadvertently left – as the title suggests – home alone, the film proved to be a global sensation and saw its lead actors return for the 1992 sequel, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.
