Artists including The Terrys, Miss Kaninna, Becca Hatch, and many more will perform at the special event.

Ahead of this year's APRA Awards, we spoke to three of the Emerging Songwriter Of The Year nominees – Miss Kaninna, Emily Wurramara, and Jem Cassar-Daley – about the most important thing they've learned about songwriting.

Miss Kaninna just wrapped up a touring slot alongside Amyl And The Sniffers across Australia.

The annual event will take place at Victoria Park on January 26 to celebrate the richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.

“It's not only a win for myself and my mob but for all First Nations people all over the globe," Miss Kaninna said.

The Great Escape will roll out a line-up of 450 artists from across the globe in the coming months.

Following a rapid rise across the last 16 months, Miss Kaninna continues to soar, releasing her debut EP, 'KANINNA', as the latest chapter of an ever-impressive story.
