Live Review: Velociraptor, Little Odessa, Surfin Bird, The Kramers
With few tracks reaching the three-minute mark, the set flies by all too quickly, wrapping up with Ramona, Cynthia and In The Springtime. Way too much fun!

Rock The Cradle
“I recently did a tour like this in the States and it was so nice; it just created this really mellow, yummy vibe, I almost wanted everyone to have a nap!”

Live Review: Prince Rama, Andrew Tuttle
While the sisters have provided a stimulating set, there’s an overall sense of disappointment; it would have been interesting to see what kind of energy these two could conjure with a more appropriately sized audience.

Live Review: Pikelet, Per Purpose, Primitive Motion
"It can only be hoped that the poor turn-out will not deter Pikelet from returning to Brisbane soon, as they have been nothing short of delightful."

Andy Bull
Mining The Low
"People are listening, interpreting and responding to the music, and to me it’s now become a two-way thing, which is one of the best bits about making music or art or words."

Live Review: The Ape, Bitter Sweet Kicks
They swing back into the set with Crawl Back, before a run through of tracks including Don’t Need Nothing, Sno Fun, Can’t Feel A Thing and the instrumental ditty Monkey In The Kitchen, which is completely hypnotic with its repetitive riffs.

The World Begins
"We arrived in Heathrow and got picked up by a guy we didn’t know who just whisked us off to Wales straight away – it was pretty surreal after the 24-hour flight to be heading into the unknown with this stranger, it was really cool.”

The Perpetual Artist
“I can’t really record vocals in my house because the walls are so thin. I bumped into my neighbour on a bus the other day and he said he could hear me sometimes!”

Live Review: Eucalyptic Echoes Psych Fest
It has been incredible to see so many Brisbane-based artists on the same line-up, and has acted as a reminder that there is some real brilliance residing in our humble city.

Burning Hunger
“The recording process was really a reaction to [The Panic’s] last record which took a while to put together; I wanted to make sure I still had it in me to sit down and write a whole bunch of songs really quickly just because I felt like it."

Depth Perceptions
“We were walking around and we looked like a god damn band; you know, long hair, skinny jeans, boots, the works!”

Live Review: Twelve Foot Ninja, Caligula's Horse, Humality
The songs they do have are performed with character, style, skill and humility – another top performance courtesy of Twelve Foot Ninja.
