Beard. Beard. Beard. Beard. Beard. Beard. Beard. Beard. Beard. Beard. Beard. Beard. Beard. Beard. Beard. Beard. Beard.
Beards, beards, beards! So much facial hair hadn't been seen at one gig since ZZ Top played at the Enmore Theatre last year when Sydney's hairiest descended on the Manning Bar, complete with full beards and falsies proudly on display.
Rock'n'roll duo The Stiffys warmed up the early arrivals with their tongue-in-cheek, erection-inspired songs. Next up was the gangster-cool of Mojo Juju, commanding the stage with her phat, funky hoodoo sound, sharp outfit and gritty vocals.
Man Choir followed, swaggering onto stage in their signature singlets while swigging beers, generating a huge roar from the crowd. The hilarious comedy act/singing group showed off their impressive vocal harmonies with the theme tune to Rocky, Bon Jovi's Wanted Dead Or Alive and finishing with the theme song to Home And Away to the great delight of everyone in the venue.
Taking the pace up a notch, The Crooked Fiddle Band's world music style was surprisingly upbeat and fast paced, with sounds combing traditional gypsy folk melodies and modern beats. Violin player Jess Randall's technique and rhythm was outstanding and the energy of the band second to none.

To the chants of “beards, beards, beards”, the band everyone had been eagerly waiting for all night walked onto the stage, stroking their impressive prized possessions before breaking straight into Got Me A Beard from new album, Having A Beard Is The New Not Having A Beard. The Beards' lead singer Johann Beardraven and his hairy comrades captivated the crowd with their witty chat and prompted singalongs as they played through a collection of tracks from all three of their albums including Shaved Off His Beard, Beards Across Australia Unite and the hilarious If Your Dad Doesn't Have A Beard, You've Got Two Mums. They got their rock on for newie You Should Consider Having Sex With A Bearded Man, which sent the crowd wild.
A brief encore of just one track finished the set, with Beardraven singing There's Just Nothing Better Than A Beard solo with just the backing of some sparse keys. The rocking power ballad built to a big finish with Man Choir, now all equipped with beards, joining the stage to bring the song to an epic ending. This was a gig no one wanted to finish.
