Sam Campbell

"This Raw Comedy winner is certainly one to watch."

Opening his show with a song called Mums Versus Dads, Sam Campbell sings in a monotone, off-key voice, his purposefully awkward demeanour and Tourette’s-like grunts carried on throughout the show.

Yet it’s a fun-filled hour of ridiculous songs like Celebrate This Egg (to the tune of Celebration), constant references to stiffies and clever short videos and animations – there’s one about his pet axolotl Joe Chicago and another about Philip Seymour Hoffman. The show peaks with a story of unrequited love, set in the Thunderjet boat in Sydney Harbour, and a convincing and elaborate spiel about how humans would be better without necks (complete with diagrams). This Raw Comedy winner is certainly one to watch.
