"There is very little room for slow dancing on this album."

More Polish Club More Polish Club

Chuck Berry may have passed but faster than you can say 'ja pierdole' Aussie rockers Polish Club make their debut dealing good old fashioned rockabilly kicks.

This album hits the road burning some serious rubber. The duo from Sydney have energy to burn and frontman David Novak is certainly a belter with his classically loud and raw rock vocals. Interestingly, a fair few of these tunes have a kind of '80s pub rock vibe. Where U Been? and Come Party deliver thunderous hard rockers that ought to blow away listeners looking for a good time away.

There is very little room for slow dancing on this album. Polish Club are delightfully boisterous and their energy is infectious, uplifting and completely out of control. Beeping has been around for a while but it's still the life of the party. As the album progresses Polish Club start to deal '50s rock'n'roll realness and when they start to jump and jive the duo really shine; their most charming cuts like How To Be Alone and Whatchuknow come with the sweetest hooks and their cover of Johnny & The Hurricanes' Red River Rock bops along cheekily.

Polish Club have delivered a loud explosive album comprised of infectious tunes.
