Album Review: Luca Turilli's Rhapsody - Prometheus, Symphonia Ignis Divinus

StarStarHalf Star

"Turilli’s vision has turned further down the path of sweeping symphonic and electronic soundscapes."

While their former Rhapsody Of Fire bandmates have focused on the power metal side of things, Luca Turilli and the gang have forged into the realm of neo-classical compositions, taking pride in crafting what’s essentially a soundtrack for a film that doesn’t exist.

A conservative amount of metallic influences still exist, but Turilli’s vision has turned further down the path of sweeping symphonic and electronic soundscapes. It’s unlikely the average metalhead will get much out of this release. Those who love Turilli will love this album, but there’s little here for anyone else.
