"An impressive progressive rock opus with the theatricality of a musical."

Fitting in among Steven Wilson, Devin Townsend or even the new era of Opeth, Karmakanic's fifth studio record Dot is an impressive progressive rock opus with the theatricality of a musical.

Charismatic synths, virtuosic piano, angelic soul-ridden choirs and a smattering of woodwind instruments define the 24-minute opening track, although the five-song album flows in a continuous stream. As far as Swedish prog-rock goes, Karmakanic are undoubtedly lesser known in Australia although they certainly deserve to be notorious. A band of dualities, Karmakanic are challenging yet uplifting; accessible, yet deep. Dot is a truly remarkable album.
