"A powerhouse of inspiring song and dance."

Since its MICF debut in 2017, Glittery Clittery: A ConSENSUAL Party has toured the country in a blaze of sparkly, empowered glory. Tonight, their run comes to an end as Fringe Wives Club hit the stage for their sequined sophomore at the Melba Spiegeltent.

A ConSENSUAL Reboot sees the funky feminist trio bring the show home to Melbourne one last time. Tessa Waters, Rowena Hutson and Victoria Falconer have taken their incredibly honed and perfected show and committed it to muscle memory, giving room for the three-piece to get a little looser with the audience, and each other. While the show remains a powerhouse of inspiring song and dance, it's a total joy to watch the Wives mess with each other and really have fun with it.

One of the biggest shifts between the Party and the Reboot iterations seems to be a further leaning towards an optimistic future. There's no more mention of Trump and what his era means for women in the present, but instead they focus on the next generations with excitement and potential. While enforcing the importance of consent and equality, they've opened up the conversation in a way that it always should have been.

It's almost ironic that in the most over the top display of cabaret genius, Fringe Wives Club have made these discussion points feel more natural and freer than ever. As soon as the crowd are walking out, the discourse begins, cementing the notion that Glittery Clittery is far bigger than the phenomenal show that the trio brought to the table.
