More Client Liaison More Client Liaison

Ella Thompson and Graeme Pogson make up the dynamite duo GL. Tonight they're back on home soil and begin to draw the early arrivals towards the front of the stage with their dazzling retro vibes. It's the World Of Our Love tour, so naturally they celebrate love past and present with funky '80s-inspired jams, including the smooth groove What Happened To Us, Thompson's gorgeous vocals, combined with Pogson's production of dreamy synths and drumming, is a match made in disco heaven.

Thompson tells us it's all about the body language so we show her what we've got by letting our bodies do the talking as we move around on the dancefloor to their latest single pop hit Grip. They share a new song with us and then they're very excited to perform a cover of Lucky Star by the one and only Madonna (who also performed on this very same stage only a few months ago).

The stage set is lined with fake plants and giant water coolers that transport us to an Wall Street office from the '80s. Client Liaison emerge in their matching high waisted, shoulder-padded, pastel-coloured suits and strut from side to side for their opener That's Desire. We join them to fight the good feeling on Pretty Lovers as we embrace their extravagant ideals of pleasure and fantasy. It doesn't take long to be consumed by their infectious energy and entrancing dance moves. It must be an absolute dream come true for Monte Morgan and Harvey Miller to headline the first of two sold out shows in their hometown at this iconic venue.

Ella Thompson joins in for a dreamy duet on Foreign Affair and together they combine forces to create a nostalgic international superpower with some glorious bass slapping from Tom Tilley. Client Liaison power through to raise the roof on the explosive Feed The Rhythm, which transitions into a huge chorus of Evolution. They shimmy away in glittery tasseled outfits while spreading love and happiness with their latest single World Of Our Love, which is set to delightful visuals of dolphins swimming wild and free. As the final chorus sounds, Morgan launches himself off the stage platform and streamers fall from the ceiling with a bang.

After a short pause, the sound of Australian wildlife and didgeridoos fill the air to signal the traditional owners of the land. It's the perfect segue for Canberra Won't Be Calling Tonight, which fully embraces Australian culture from the early '90s. We echo a few kookaburra calls back at them. The band hand out a few Fosters tinnies to audience members. A cover of Michael Jackson's Black Or White and smoke cannons ignite for a big finish with End Of The Earth.
