"He looks out into the cosmos and tries to explain something of our place in it."

While the eponymous Mr Marshall has well-regarded names like Harem Scarem and his own The Body Electric on his musical resume, this album also throws toward his 'day job' of science teacher as he looks out into the cosmos and tries to explain something of our place in it.

So, somewhere between Brian Cox and Monty Python's Galaxy Song - and with probably more musicality than either - musings on existence like the cruisy and brassy Not A Cruel Machine and the reflective physics of Almighty Carousel let you listen and think at once. Formerly of The Avalanches, Darren Seltmann's mixing adds some suitably starry textures.
