Zhu - Faded (Trumpdisco Remix) *Premiere*
Zhu's mega-hit gets the Trumpdisco bang-up.. If you havne't heard Zhu's massive track Faded by now, well there's a good chance you aren't reading this post, so I'll dispense with the pleasantries and get straight to it. Melbourne producer Trumpdisco has added his signature ravey electro touch to the track, and it's taken Faded from smooth, deep-housey banger to in-your-face dancefloor destroyer. Stream/download it for free below, followed by some exclusive words from the man himself in the first interview he's done since his last EP, and also another free download - his recent two hour mega mix, because there's no such thing as too much rave. How’s things in Trumpdisco land at the moment - the two hour mix you just released has a few snippets of some upcoming originals? Hey! Yeah things are good, been very tied down with my upcoming EP for a while now which, yeah, I've snuck into the mix =) Keeping busy with more originals, collabs and remixes in the work!  It seems like you’ve been p

Things We Learned: Wonderland Warehouse Project
Told you what to expect, now hear what we got.. After Alison Wonderland gave us a short briefing on what to expect on the Wonderland Warehouse Project tour, the DJ/producer definitely has not disappointed on her three shows thus far. Check a little video evidence below, and here's what one of our contributors thought after the Brisbane show last Saturday night, one which saw her manfully brave a ravenous crowd of ravers, with a crutch. YOUNG FRANCO CAN BRING IT  We arrive, me hobbling behind on crutches after an unfortunate mountain climbing accident, at 6:30pm. The warehouse is already heaving and 3/4 full, all for Brisbane’s own Young Franco. At one point he throws a shirt into the crowd, which nearly results in a brawl mid-dance floor. His hit Brooklyn has everyone inside moving, and shows everyone he is one to to watch. Young Franco’s set was the perfect warm-up, with his energetic stage presence feeding off the crowd’s love for him. WAVE RACER IS THE FUCKING MAN The crowd continu

Guest Selectors - Pomo & Sango
Five tracks each from the much-hyped tour buddies.. Before we begin this excursion into the minds of the about-to-kick-off-their-first-Australian-tour duo Sango and Pomo (joined by Stwo - deets HERE), let me first apologise for the photoshop effort above. I'm sure Sango isn't a tiny human compared to Pomo, but I do kinda like how they're looking at each other. We asked them each to give us five tracks they're vibing on at the moment, and as was expected from the eclectic beatsmiths, their selections are varied and awesome. Enjoy them below and skip down the bottom to see where they're playing on a tour that kicks off tonight in Adelaide: SANGO The way the production compliments the verses is amazing. The tempo is prefect. It has this bounce to it. Just the whole track is heavy. I was in the car with Atu and Dpat, and they showed me this song and I was just blown away. The singing is hard to make out, but it fits. The quirkiness of the the song is what makes it so interesting. Such a go

Milky Chance - Stolen Dance (Jealous Much? Remix)
If you thought Milky Chance's chill acoustic house hit needed more trap.... If you listen to our national youth broadcaster there's a very good chance you've heard German folktronica duo Milky Chance's single Stolen Dance (the video clip is down the very bottom for the seven of you that haven't). We imagine there's a lot of remixes on the way as the track is too perfect for it, and Aussie trap-enthusiast Jealous Much? has taken the track and turned it into quite possibly the most banging version of the song we think you'll find. Fuxing with the vocals into chipmunk styles and adding some rave-horns should about do the trick on this free download: We imagine there's gonna be a lot of you picturing this bad boy going down a treat in the clurb any time after 1am, and for more you can follow Jealous Much? on FACEBOOK and/or TWITTER, or do the same for Milky Chance HERE.

Seekae - Test & Recognise/Album/Tour!
Seekae have a new single, new album, and tour to announce.. London-via-Sydney electronica outfit Seekae have announced details for their third album - The Worry - due for release via Future Classic on September 12. Their credentials speak for themselves, with two previous albums that topped a lot of Best Of lists, and The Worry is looking to be their most ambitious and intimate work yet, as evidenced by the first single from it, Test & Recognise. After teasing at it last year, The Worry sees the group embrace vocals full-steam, with percussionist Alex Cameron taking charge with the vocal chords. Fortunately for us, with new albums, comes new tours, and they've announced a big one (which we're presenting along with a host of other rad folks!), taking in the following dates with special guest Jonti in the month leading up to the album's release: Sat 9 Aug - Darwin Festival, Darwin* Tues 12 Aug - The Zoo, Brisbane Fri 15 Aug - The Gov, Adelaide Sat 16 Aug - The Villa, Perth Fri 22 Aug

The Aussie House Scene Is Killing It Pt. 2
As we knew we had, there were a whole heap of rad people left off the previous house article.. Earlier this week we ran article about the Aussie House Scene at the moment, and as is the point of these kind of articles, it was as much a chance for us to expose people we've been enjoying, as it was for other people to reach out and tell us who we were missing. Some people just got snarky about it and some others were rad enough to do something about it. One of those was Cam Duff, a good friend of Pilerats and the brains behind Heads With Tales, an independent booking, touring and management agency based in Australia. You can find out more about the awesome shit he's doing by visiting the HWT FACEBOOK and/or WEBSITE, and enjoy digging deep into the artists/record labels he reckons are smashing it at the moment.

Motez - Own Up / Single Tour
A new single and epic tour to keep you warm this winter.. In case you missed the memo yesterday RE: Aussie House Producers Killing It...well, they are. Motez topped that list which wasn't officially ranked, and like a self-fulfilling prophecy, the South Australia producer has released a new single to commemorate this most joyous occasion of us getting bored and writing articles about stuff that pertains to us. Packing plenty of Motez' signature vibes, with the addition of some super-sexy R&B vocals, it's pretty great. It's also soon to be released officially, backed with remixes by some heavy hitters in Ben Pearce, Silversix, AC Slater, Treasure Fingers and Mo Di. And even greater, he's heading on the road this June/July in the lead-up to his Splendour In The Grass appearance. Check all the dates below, sling him on a follow on FACEBOOK, and get on board the haus music express.
